Our Leadership

Leslie Mullens | President & Senior Consultant

Leslie amplifies organizational impact through strategic clarity, leadership development, and executive team alignment. She has developed and facilitated hundreds of engagements for corporate, small business, nonprofit, and government clients. An expert in organizational development, her approach builds team capacity, cohesion, and confidence that gets results. 

Prior to launching PlayBook in 2004, Leslie led Cisco Systems’s global e-commerce standardization strategy, an initiative that saved Cisco $400M in its first two years.

She recently designed and facilitated leadership development initiatives for the Obama Foundation and the University of Hawaii, and provided policy consultation for the Aspen Institute. Leslie is an Omidyar Fellow in social change and leadership development.

Her belief is that healthy, talented teams with skillful leaders can build sustainable, adaptive solutions to any challenge. Her role is to create the fertile environment where teams and leaders can evolve to their highest performance potential.

Based in both Hawaii and Portland, Oregon, Leslie merges her love of the outdoors with her passion for developing high impact executives. PlayBook's annual TrailBlazer Treks – 3-4 day backpacking/hiking trips in US national parks – fuel her passion: Leading female executives through personal and professional exploration to break through barriers to greater fulfillment and performance as an authentic, whole-hearted leader.
